Shona Grant joined the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in November 2005 on secondment from BP. She has a Ph.D in Geology and joined the Research Division of BP in 1987. Since then she has since held a variety of roles in the E&P Division and the Executive Office.

Prior to moving to Geneva she was Asset Manager for a portfolio including several offshore producing fields as well as logistics delivery for their Norwegian operations.

At the WBCSD Shona is responsible for managing a work program aimed at accelerating the business contribution to development, through awareness building of “what is possible”, advocating for improvements in framework conditions, and brokering real “sustainable livelihoods” business opportunities involving WBCSD members and regional network partners.
